Regional Squad Championships at Stoke on Trent 25th April 2004
Three Woolwell players made up a quarter of the South West Region team who equalled their best ever performance by coming third out of ten in the Regional Squad Championships at Stoke. This takes to six the number of current Woolwell juniors who have now represented the region.
Vicky Smith teamed up with national number one Martha Travis in the under-11 girls to form an invincible pairing, each winning all their five matches. Laura McLeod found life tough playing five other regional number one's in the under-13 section. She played very well and had a number of extremely close battles, coming away with one hard fought victory. Chris Smith, in the boys under-13's, also had a battle on his hands, but came away with four wins out of five.
